Undercrown Robusto
The Undercrown Robusto has earned a devoted following among cigar enthusiasts. It all started in 2009 when Drew Estate asked its torcedores to smoke fewer Liga Privada cigars. There were not enough of these cigars left to export. Rather than being disappointed and going without, the rollers created their own version of the Liga Privada, the Undercrown.
Wrapped in an Andres Maduro, this cigar features a blend of Brazilian Mata Fina and Nicaraguan long fillers. Many of the same rare tobaccos are featured in this blend but of different vintages and primings. The cigar they created was no mere replacement. From the first draw, expect notes of espresso, dark chocolate, black pepper, and a natural sweetness that lingers on the finish, in a medium- to full-bodied smoke.
