-Asylum 867 Midnight Oil The 70
Asylum 867 Midnight Oil The 70 is a unique creation from Asylum, a brand known for thinking outside-of-the-box of cigar innovation. This offering is part of Asylum’s first flavor-infused line, the 867 series, which utilizes an exceptional post-rolling technique to elevate its taste profile. During production, each cigar undergoes a steeping process of either being submerged in a flavored liquid, or being stored in a closed environment to absorb aromas. The result is a powerful, tasty cigar!
Initially, this line was a collaborative project between CLE and Deadwood Tobacco Company in South Dakota. This series was first introduced as Deadwood’s “Chasing the Dragon” line. Now, it has been rebranded under Asylum and includes the Midnight Oil, Auntie, and Zero variants. If you were a big fan of the Chasing the Dragon series, you’ll be pleased to know these have the same blends and flavors!
The Asylum 867 Midnight Oil The 70 is a Honduran puro. It features a dark Maduro wrapper and has a medium body. Each cigar is produced in cofounder Christian Eiroa’s Honduran factory. Reviews of this cigar have noted the immediate impact of the sweetened cap and pronounced flavors. The flavor profile includes earth, tea, subtle pepper, and an underlying sweetness. In essence, these cigars are like smoking a glass of peach sweet tea!
The 70 variant has a large, 70 ring gauge and is 6 inches long. They are available individually for $14, in 5-packs for $66.50, and in boxes of 20 for $250.95. Place your order today to give these southern-tasting cigars a try!
