-Asylum 867 Zero Toro
Asylum 867 Zero Toro is a Honduran puro with a dark Maduro wrapper. What makes these cigars stand out is their fun, explosive flavor profile. These pronounced flavors are thanks to the unique flavor-infusion method Asylum used on this series (for the very first time, I might add)! If you’re an Asylum fan, you know they never do anything ordinary or by-the-book. This series is a testament to their never-ending curiosity of creative cigar production methods. After each of these cigars are rolled, they’re steeped in either an aromatic or a liquid version of their target flavors. The end result is an extra smelly (in a good way) and tasty cigar!
These cigars are carefully created at co-owner Christian Eiroa’s factory in Honduras. They are medium-bodied and balanced well with a sweetened cap. Now, for the flavors! These cigars exude notes of sweet berries, tea, nougat, and clove. Many say these cigars are like smoking a fruity sweet tea.
This series was originally released through Deadwood Tobacco Co. as a collaboration. If you’re a Deadwood fan, you might recognize them as the “Chasing the Dragon” line. Now, they’ve been rebranded under Asylum and include the Zero, Midnight Oil, and Auntie variants. But don’t worry, these cigars use the same tobacco blends and flavors as the original Deadwood version.
The Asylum 867 Zero Toro has a 50 ring gauge and is 6 inches long. It’s available at Nick’s Cigar World individually ($11.00), in 5-packs ($52,25), and in boxes of 20 (196.95). These different purchasing options make it easy to try out all 3 in this line. Or, if you like the sound of a berry sweet tea cigar, go ahead and grab these in a box of 20!
