Litto Gomez Jr., Tony’s younger brother, released his first commercial blend, La Flor Dominicana Solis that is a spicy smoke with hints of pepper and licorice. The name, Solis, comes from the Latin word “sol” and means sun. The boxes look similar to the La Nox (The Night). The story goes that while at the factory on break from college the first blend created by Litto Gomez Jr. floored his father when he turned to him and said next trip back you are going to smoke puro’s of every tobacco we have and choose which go together. The result is Solis.
