-Asylum 867 Zero Robusto
Asylum 867 Zero Robusto is a fun, flavor-packed cigar! What makes this cigar so unique is the steeping method used during production. After rolling, each cigar is stored in an aromatic environment or submerged in flavored liquids to emphasize the flavor notes. Asylum is known to push the boundaries of cigar production, and this series surely testifies to that!
This cigar was originally released as part of a collab between Asylum founders and Deadwood Tobacco Co. You may recognize the “Chasing the Dragon” name that used to belong to this cigar. Now, it’s been rebranded under Asylum’s 867 series, which includes the Zero, Midnight Oil, and Auntie. All you Deadwood fans, don’t worry! These cigars use the same blends and flavors as their predecessors.
The Zero Robusto cigar is a Honduran puro with a medium body. Each cigar features a Maduro wrapper and are rolled at co-founder Christian Eiroa’s (of CLE and Camacho) factory in Honduras. Cigar enthusiasts have noted the immediate impact of the pronounced flavors and sweetened cap, including: clove, nougat undertones, sweet berries, and tea-like nuances.
As you may have guessed from the name, this cigar is a traditional Robusto size (50 ring gauge and 5 inches long). It’s available individually for $10.50, in 5-packs for $49.88, and in boxes of 20 for $187.95. With various purchasing options, you can try out all three variants in the 867 series.
