Asylum 867 Midnight Oil The 54 is a unique creation from a brand known for innovative cigar production. The 867 series is the first flavor-infused cigar line to come from Asylum. This is a process where after rolling, the cigars are either submerged in a flavored liquid or placed in a closed environment to absorb the target flavors/aromas. The result is a bold, flavorful cigar!

If you’re a Deadwood Tobacco Company fan, these cigars might seem familiar. This series was originally a collaborative effort between CLE and Deadwood, and was released as Deadwood’s “Chasing the Dragon” series. However, the cigars have now been rebranded under Asylum and include the Auntie, Midnight Oil, and Zero variants. Don’t worry, the cigars contain the same blends and flavors as their predecessors.

These cigars are Honduran puros with a Maduro wrapper. Each cigar is handcrafted at the CLE factory in Honduras. They are notable for their medium-bodied strength. Reviewers have noted that the steeping and sweetened cap are immediately apparent. They have a sweet, maple syrup flavor with hints of apple, brandy, and holiday spices. The wrapper is described as a dark chocolatey Maduro, which adds to the depth of flavor.
